I am Paloma Chiner, a Valencian soprano, and I have had the privilege of bringing my voice to international stages such as the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Carnegie Hall in New York, Kioi Hall in Tokyo, Palau de la Música in Valencia, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, among others. I have also participated in festivals such as ENSEMS in Valencia, the Maó Music Festival, and the 1700 Napoletano Festival—experiences that have been fundamental in shaping my journey as an artist.

Throughout my career, I have received recognitions that have encouraged me to keep growing, such as the Ana María Sánchez Award at the Callosa d’en Sarriá Lyric Festival, First Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition of Cofrentes, and several distinctions at the IBLA Grand Prize. These achievements have strengthened my passion for conveying deep emotions through music.

In opera, I have had the honor of performing roles that have deeply impacted me, such as Tosca (Puccini), Santuzza (Mascagni), Donna Anna (Mozart), Elisabetta (Verdi), Elena Popova (The Bear – Walton), and Suor Angelica (Puccini). In the world of zarzuela, I have enjoyed bringing to life characters such as Adriana (Los Gavilanes), Luisa Fernanda (Luisa Fernanda), Dolores (La Dolorosa), and Reina (La Corte de Faraón).

In symphonic repertoire, I feel especially connected to works such as Verdi’s Requiem, Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Mozart’s Requiem, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater, Brahms’ German Requiem, Schubert’s Mass in G Major, and Vivaldi’s Gloria, collaborating with exceptional orchestras and conductors.

My training began at the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Conservatory in Valencia, where I earned my degree in Voice under the guidance of Gloria Fabuel and Ana Luisa Chova. Over the years, I have had the privilege of learning from artists such as Renata Scotto, Ileana Cotrubas, Ernesto Palacio, Raina Kabaivanska, Elena Pankratova, Mariella Devia, and Antonio Lemmo, whose teachings have been a great source of inspiration.

In 2015, I founded the ensemble Plaerdemavida, a special project that allows me to merge music, theater, and poetry into multidisciplinary artistic proposals. With Plaerdemavida, I have recorded five albums that have received critical acclaim. I have also premiered contemporary works such as Door by T. Johnson, conducted by Jordi Bernàcer, and the production Ego, both presented at the International Contemporary Music Festival ENSEMS.

I consider myself a multifaceted woman: beyond my role as a singer, I am a producer (The Bear, Walton), writer, therapist, and artistic director of the Musiquart and Tabarfest music festivals. My project Nàiada is an extension of my passion for artistic and personal connection. Through this program, I accompany individual processes, organize courses and retreats, and develop interactive musical experiences that invite audiences to explore their creativity and connect with their most authentic essence.

For me, music and artistic expression are much more than a means of communication; they are a bridge to connection with oneself and with others.
